We’re not appreciating the Weird Barbie enough. It’s said in the movie that she helps everyone who need help while they always see her as someone who’s not as good as them. She was friends with all dismissed Barbies and Kens, was there to offer support and safe shelter for everyone who needed it in Kendom, without her nothing in the movie would’ve been alright. When Stereotypical Barbie calls her “ugly and unwanted” she still helps her.

She was representing a woman in women’s world who was pushed aside by other women because she didn’t fit in but still had more wiseness and kindness than everyone who thought they’re better than her.

    This still blows my mind

I will happily delete this if I’m derailing or taking away from the original message (initially I put this in the tags, but a friend asked me to reblog as text)

If you don’t want to pursue an autism or adhd diagnosis and you have access to a doctor or therapist you can get them to write you a note attesting to a symptom of your neurodivergence (rather than naming the condition itself) and stating the need for accommodation.

It’s something my therapist told me about when we were still working in offices. I have sensory processing issues and on multiple occasions the noise in my office was so bad I broke the skin on my hand clenching my fist.

This work-around of course won’t fix structural ableism and relies on you having access to a doctor/therapist who actually gives a crap, so still might only help a couple of folks.

    Thats a good add on

Change my meme (a replacement ‘Change my mind’ template) - template post - Imgur

[ID: an edited Calvin and Hobbes panel where Calvin sits, smiling, at a lemonade stand with a sign taped to the front of the table. It reads: It’s time to retire that other meme and replace it with this template. Change my mind.
Next image is the same meme but the sign reads: Steven Crowder does not deserve a meme format. Change my mind. /end]

“but if you’re pro-union, why are you anti-cop-union?” because cops are not laborers. what cops do is not labor. they are enforcers of the laws that oppress laborers and exist solely to protect capital. don’t bother me with stupid questions.

One thing I need allistics to understand is that autistic people often have wildly different perspectives of what conversations are “acceptable” and what aren’t. Many autistic people talk about “private” topics really openly, and allistics see that as oversharing. Other autistic people consider everything private and avoid asking/answering questions, so many allistics see them as weird or like we have something to hide. I for example am in the second category and since I was a child, I had strange boundaries on what’s acceptable to ask and what isn’t. That’s alright, it’s simply just another autism thing.
